Job Overview

The role of a Content Producer is dynamic and may require adapting to the evolving needs of clients and the digital marketing landscape. This role works closely with and supports all facets of the Content Department including but not limited to Social Media Management, Public Relations, Creative, SEO, Websites, Photo and Video. Strong communication skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of content marketing principles are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Content Production:

    • Produce high-quality written, visual, or multimedia content, including blog posts, articles, social media posts, videos, infographics, and more.

    • Ensure that content is engaging, informative, and aligned with the client's brand and messaging.

    • Produce, edit, and deliver on trend short and/or long form photo and video content using new and existing assets.

      • Content created will be used cross-platform via posts, stories, reels, and videos for websites, social, email, PR, etc.

  • Content Planning and Editorial Calendar:

    • Support the visual element of our Strategic Planning process

    • Create and maintain editorial calendars to schedule content publication and ensure a consistent flow of content.

    • Coordinate content production with other team members and departments to meet deadlines.

  • Website Optimization:

    • Lead miscellaneous website requests (copy, image change, blog uploads, plugin updates)

    • Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation to improve search engine rankings and visibility.

    • Conduct keyword research, create blog outlines and integrate relevant keywords naturally into content.

  • Client Communication:

    • Communicate with clients during production day.

    • Manage client expectations and ensure client delight with the content produced.

  • Content Optimization:

    • Identify opportunities to repurpose and optimize existing content to extend its reach and value.

    • Keep up to date with content marketing trends and emerging platforms.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure that all content meets high-quality standards, including grammar, spelling, and adherence to brand guidelines.

  • Continuous Learning:

    • Stay current with industry best practices, content marketing tools, and emerging trends to improve skills and strategies.


Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in adobe premier, after-effects, or equal video editing software.

  • Understanding of how to use photo and video equipment.

  • Available to work in the Rochester office Monday - Thursday.

  • Have own transportation for day travel to our clients in Ithaca, NY.

  • Experience in creating reels and short-form video content.

  • Self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
