Featured snippets are shown in some search engine results pages (SERPs) and allows your users to quickly get the answer they are looking for. Instead of the user having to go to the actual page, it will show content from one of the sites that ranks on the first page. So doesn’t this negatively impact your click-through rate? No. In fact, featured snippets significantly increase your click-through rate!
Having a mobile-friendly site is crucial
Mobile internet usage has surpassed desktop internet usage and the gab will only continue to grow. According to Zenith’s Media’s head of forecasting, Jonathan Barnard, “70% of internet use is now on a mobile, and the use of desktop for internet will fall by almost 16% this year (2016).” So what will this chart look like at the end of 2017?
